Drayer "Barn"
Nicknamed the "Barn", the Drayer's metal framed out-building was originally an agricultural building with a faux western facade. The transformation to an entertainment, exercise and office facility for the Drayers evloved into a centerpiece for their activities. The roll-up door was replaced with a glazed unit creating a continuous indoor-outdoor entertainment space. An exterior mounted roll-up door shades the interior. The South-West facing windows are shaded by concealed exterior automatic blinds. Glass block floors in the Exercise area and Jan's Office allow filtered light through to the Bar/Entry and Fire Pit areas. Jan's sensitive consulrant work required the adaption of a solar electrical backup system to protect against sensative data & work loss in power outages.
