Excelsior Brewery
An abandon historical masonry and wood truss strucure, once a flour processing facility, was rehabilitated, seismically upgraded and reincarnated as the Excelsior Brewery. The unreinforced masonry walls, in excess of two feet thick at the base, were braced and provided textural relief as a backdrop to the maze of copper and stainless steel brewery equipment. A tasting room was incorporated adjacent to the southern office wing.
